Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today we had fun with green!

Kiss her, she's Irish! It's hard to believe "this" was Lily just one year ago!
Then...
and now! She's Irish too, but didn't want anything to do with getting kisses!
I also made cupcakes for our Jr. High Catechism class.
And here are 100 pictures of Lily eating one of them.
This is the girl who wouldn't touch the cupcake at her first birthday party!

Finger licking stamp of approval!

Yes, St. Patrick's Day is a great day to celebrate our heritage, wear green and maybe dance a jig but it's also a good day to remember to pray for our missionaries.
An excerpt from St. Patrick’s Breastplate
I invoke today all these virtues
Against every hostile merciless power
Which may assail my body and my soul,
Against the incantations of false prophets,
Against the black laws of heathenism,
Against the false laws of heresy,
Against the deceits of idolatry,
Against the spells of women, and smiths, and druids,
Against every knowledge that binds the soul of man.
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the threeness,
Through confession of the oneness,
Of the Creator of Creation.

December Daily: Day 15 Spoiler Alert!

Today I spent more time than it should have taken finishing up a gift for baby Hale #4 due at the end of the month. With 2 little ones around an hour long project turned into a 6 hour marathon of cut, sew, feed, pin, sew, change diaper, sew, get Lily off of Clara, pin, sew, get juice, etc, etc.
With only one more week until Christmas I finally had "spare" time to put a few decorations in the girls' room. Lily likes to play with the dolls that are up on this shelf while she's being changed. Now she can play with little baby Jesus.
Bellow are the slippers and bib I made. Lindsay, if you're reading this DON'T LOOK!

Sewing.

Well, I'm back in the sewing saddle. This weekend we were invited to a baby shower and I needed a gift. Since we're lacking in baby boutiques in Bancroft I knew I'd have to get creative. I had just the right materials (bought in a former life) for what became a wonderful creation I was very proud of. I did have a hard time parting with this little dress, but was happy to have such a sweet baby girl to give it to. Our friends Pastor Kevin Cook and his wife Kristi had their baby Leah Marie a month ago. They don't live very far from us, so I'm hoping Leah and Lily will be good pals someday.3.23.2008
Eggs.

One is never too old or too cool to color eggs for Easter, except Phil that is. I went next door to the Munderloh's to dye eggs with their granddaughter Makala. Aren't they pretty?
