Our Big Girl

When did she get so grown up? I just look at her and can't believe how quickly she's becoming this pretty little girl!

At The Parsonage

Lily led our Bible study this morning.

Holly Homemaker

Future Homemakers of America here she comes!

Auntie Sylvia (Fafi) got a broom and mop for Lily. She loves them. Now she's really making herself useful!

Thanks Fafi!

"Now, where are my bon-bons?"

At The Parsonage.

This "copy cat" phase Lily is in makes for so many laughs around here. Just like dad she has to read the paper while she eats lunch!

A Tribute.

This one goes out to my dear brother Scot (yes, James you're dear too!). I don't think it needs any explanation does it? Skinned knees, paten leather shoes?! There's a little Scotty in her I guess. Should I be worried?

Sorry, to those of you who weren't living with my family during the years of 1988-1989, this will mean nothing.

This girl loves to read. Problem is she only reads in Chinese.

The Lily Show

Lily Fonda? I had nothing to do with this but I LOVE it! Anyone "Feel Like Getting Down"?

Much to my chagrin, one of Lily's favorite new words is "booyah!". Now, it was cute the first time she said it by mistake trying to say 'blueberries' and I have to admit it's really funny when she says it at certain times, but after her father heard her he has relentlessly encouraged it. (Booyah is one of Phil's favorite words I think only because he knows how much I cringe when I hear him use it.) Unfortuantely I too have been won over by the cuteness and laughs we get when she says it.

I love it when I find Lily doing the smartest things!

Yes, she's wearing two dresses. Hey, sometimes a girl just can't decide!

She really is starting to say some words we promise! Just look how determined she gets to NOT say them once we get the camera out though. Sorry!

Going to Work.

Lily went to work with Daddy today. Well at least for a couple hours which was very nice for Mama!

So cute!

Here's our silly Lily keeping us smiling. Hope these videos work. I've been having a lot of trouble with them lately. If you have trouble try moving the cursor over a little and hitting play again, sometimes that works.

Our little genius!

This is Lily's eye in case you missed that.

Our little Pollock!

She may say "eye" like a yankee but her "bye" is straight from Dixie!

Our 18 Month Old.

A year and a half ago it was so hard to imagine what life would be like with a walking, talking baby. Holding our newborn baby Lily those days seemed so so far away. How quickly 18 months have passed and here we are with a raging case of TODDLER! Lily has mastered "no" and has added several words such as; "uh-oh", "there-is", "knock-knock", "nigh-nigh" and "cold". She's also very good at tattling on Clara who she affectionately has started to call "Ca-Ca" (sorry Clara). She's definitely "a handful" as they say of children this age, but she's such a sweet and funny little handful!

The next Top Chef.

You should try her "Stirred Cup", it's very good.

I'm thinking about moving my easy chair into the kitchen too. Sometimes you just need to take a load off you know?

Lily will love us for this someday!

Mama's little helper.

I was folding and putting away laundry the other day and heard a little sigh. I looked over and saw Lily trying to fold part of her diaper. It was so sweet and made me realize just how much this little person watches and learns everything she sees me doing! It's an honor and huge responsibility to know that. She's even got my sigh down, yikes!

Lily's new horse.

Daddy got Lily a pony after all! I'm not sure if it was for her or him though. I've heard of parents who relive their youth through their children....

Phil's glory days.

She wasn't a big fan at first but has really warmed up to her horse this week. She even gave him a kiss on the nose the other day.

Though scooting remains the transportation method of choice, the walking is on everybody!

Lily's getting a little better at this walking thing everyday!

And she loves yakking on the phone.

I've been teaching Lily some sign language. She's really gotten a hang of "more" especially when there's "more" ice cream to be had!

Silly Lily.

Where does this child come from? Oh yeah, she's Phil's.

Inspecting the pantry to let me know what we're out of.

Well, she's 13 1/2 months old and still no top teeth. I have to say it, she looks a little funny. She looks like a little girl, then she opens her mouth and she's 3 months old again.

Pigtails today.

And big girl jeans from Grandmere. So cute, but no scoot. She had a hard time getting around on her bottom in these and kept tugging on them, so alas, I took them off. They'll be better when she's a full time walker.

Aaaaa! Where'd my baby go??!!
