We've Moved!

Do to the restrictions on videos and the limitations of blogger, we are testing a new blog site. It is hosted on my computer, so it will not be the fastest, but I think it will be adequate. If the new one fails to live up to expectations, we will return to posting on this one.

Let us know if you encounter any problems with the new site. Please contact your friendly web admin or leave a comment here.

Thanks!

Pentecost

Come, Holy Ghost, Creator blest,
And make our hearts Your place of rest;
Come with Your grace and heav'nly aid,
And fill the heart which You have made.

Your light to ev'ry thought impart,
And shed Your love in ev'ry heart;
The weakness of our mortal state
With deathless might invigorate.

Teach us to know the Father, Son,
And You, from both as Three in One
That we Your name may ever bless
And in our lives the truth confess.

Come, Holy Ghost, Creator Blest LSB 499

Happy Day of Pentecost! Today we celebrated the coming of the Holy Spirit by wearing red to church, using our fancy red table cloth at dinner and enjoying Strawberry Shortcake.

Hope you all had a wonderful Day of Pentecost!

"When the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me." John 15:26

Cabinets are the new dryers

Clara's still washing her laundry.

German Yumminess.

Whoever said making spatzle [SHPEHT-sluh; SHPEHT-sehl; SHPEHT-slee] is quick and easy fibbed! I tried making it the other night, and I'll say it turned out tasting better than I thought it would, but quick and easy it was not. Plus it kind of looked liked white cheetos...

I just can't wait to have the real deal in Deutschland!

PS I didn't eat all those meatballs.

25 Weeks

14 weeks to go?! Wow! All is going well with me and baby. I passed my "glucose tolerance test" with flying colors, so thankfully gestational diabetes is not something I have to worry about. I didn't even realize it was already time to take that test.

It's funny that this time around I don't remember which week I'm in and I definitely have no idea what month this is for us but feeling this baby getting bigger and stronger, moving around in there all the time just makes me stop and wonder at what a miracle this new life is. It seems like this time even more so than with my first two pregnancies I am so much more humbled by God's generosity and creation. I get so distracted with all that goes on in my day that I don't have time to fret or think too much about the changes my body is going through but all it takes is a minute to sit down or lay down in bed to be reminded of this tiny gift growing in my belly. I can't believe he's already big enough to see bumping around! Big enough for Daddy to feel bumping around! I'm just so amazed by it all.
